First two weeks of September 2010

Labor Day weekend through September 12th.

Mommy & Fish hit the playground.

Getting hot and tired.
Mommy, let's go this way!

Okay, let's go home now.

Silly boy!

MONSTER!

Let's cool off and get the Fish back in water.
He's been a little more shy with the pool this year, than his first year... Less adventurous.
Sign of maturity and true water safety?

My boys.

Later that day- Lucy and Fisher cheering Abbi on, as she cheers.
Serra home field.

Where is she?

Look Fisher- there!

There, I said- look!

Great heights. Fisher scales the railing- which is, not that you can tell to the extent, at the very top of the canyon... straight drop below. Yikes! He got the top rung and we had to put down the camera and pull him off. Thank goodness Nana Noni was not watching.

Tired Fish like to read their bedtime book(s) in boxes.

Check out that golden tan!

... and done. Tired baby.  Good night.

Playtime:

"Good morning, I think I will take my breakfast yogurt on the patio"
We are here to serve.

Fisher loves playing with his wagon- Daddy's wagon from when he was a baby. Cool, hugh?

Have you noticed that Fish loves to sit inside small spaces? He does.

Inside Daddy's wagon.

Nana Noni's birthday!
Happy Birthday Nana Noni!
Lucy and Fisher were very interested in watching Nana open presents.
Nana Noni is looking good- I hope I am as lucky to stay so young at heart and in appearance. You go girrrl!
 Yum- cheesecake.
We got to stay up late in PJ's and celebrate- all on a weekday. Thanks Nana!

Joaquin's 2nd birthday. Fisher enjoyed his backyard! We had fun. Thanks! I did not get a picture of the birthday boy. Bummer.
Fisher- Always the road less traveled.

He was hitting balls and playing soccer with the older boys!

The steps to the hot tub was his fav hangout. He even found a party blower up there.
See that sad face. It's because he has a boo-boo he recieved a few days earlier on his forehead from a particular accident at the playground. Look how sad he is Nana Noni- look at that face staring at you. LOL.
Teasing.

Later that evening we met up with Auntie and Uncle Shellstrom for the Greek Festival in Cardiff.
Fisher was so beyond tired- 3rd day without a nap. Poor guy. He held up well, though.

Nice picture guys!

Not the best dinner I admit, but the easiest on wheels.

I love Adam's large laugh/ smiles! You laugh with your face Adam- that's awesome!
Look how tired he is.
I like this one!

We parked him front of the dance floor. Every time I would dance he would scream "no!" and point at me to stop. Did not like my style I guess. But, a little while later I caught him toe tapping in his stroller. He liked the Greek dance, afterall. Maybe next year we will hit the dance floor without feeling silly- how hard can it be right?

Thought we could match the lights of the dance floor- hot pink!

We got a private tour of the Orthodox church. It was amazing- so large and ornate. Thanks Chris for the tour and history, it was interesting! I don’t think you have to be religious to appreciate it.
And, for those dying (no pun intended) to know- nope, lightning did not strike me. All good. I am still here to blog about it.

This was the ceiling- crazy high and amazing! Pictures don't do it justice. Everything was gold, marble and detailed. Sparkled. The scale large.Truly gorgeous from an artistic standpoint.

The alter is behind the Saints. The gates directly in front of the alter open during the service. Everything  you see, excluding the walls is a cream and white marble.

My angels

Dad found time to catch a Fish! I think this one-s-a-keeper.

That Friday Mama Fish got her birthday present early. Dad can't keep presents long.
I love Soulmate gifts in blue boxes! So lucky- for my Soulmate!

Mama Fish birthday: I woke  up and had a little NUVA work to do. Nate made breakfast- while I was logged in, this was my line of sight- over my monitor. Fish put on a show with his sausage.

First he was doing well, until he saw me peek at him.

Right here he is is making it dance along with sound effects. Dance meat, dance!

Here it comes...

The finale!

I got a sausage birthday show! Now, how many can say that?

Yes, that is a fly swatter. We had to buy him one. He insisted. Why? Because it is in his DNA to hate flies. Yes, hate them. He runs around after them yelling "go" and swings that thing. Why is it at the table? Because he has actually never caught a fly (that we know of) and it was my birthday, I was working and... well, why the heck not. How many kids attach to such a thing?

...this is about when we took it away, however.

So, on my 37th birthday I was also sick. I had/ have a terrible summer cold. I stayed in PJ's almost all day resting.
Fisher and I wrestling -doing airplane leg lifts.
I could say it's the photo, but likely yes, my chubby thighs are squeezing his little chubby face... but he laughed and laughed. Sad.

Playtime: Caution!

Look at those curls sticking out!

Thank you Fisher for being our nutcase! We love you so. Always and forever.
