Twenty- Eleven Thanks

Thanksgiving 2011.
Catchy title isn't it? Gotcha curious of the twenty and eleven things we are giving thanks for?
Well, please refer to the post titled "Humdrum"... I have no creative writings in me. However, I am certain that should I desire to put our thankfulness to pen and ink (figuratively) there would be a ton! So much in fact, that you should be very grateful that you don't have to scroll past them, or read them or politely comment on them just to get to the pictures. And, really, just look below... we're so thankful!

Hanging out and playing with the Cousins at Cannington Manor- Thanksgiving Day.

A boo boo was bound to happen when you run and never walk.

Misc., November

Our turkey! Fisher made the most gigantic turkey that a kid can in preschool. Since it would not fit on the fridge, Fish said wanted to pose with it for a picture... Really? When has he ever wanted a picture? I could not miss the opportunity, he was even wearing his handiwork- a feather head piece, remember making those?!?!? Gobble! Gobble!

Day after Thanksgiving.
Abbi and I pull into the driveway after shopping. This was the scene before me. All I could do was stare with an open mouth. Grip the steering wheel. Inhale. Exhale. And think "okay, well, he put the bike helmet on him... so as long as his spine, limbs and all that junk make it we have the head semi-covered... maybe he'll think to grab onto the rain gutters if he slips...??"
Abbi said something along the lines of how much trouble Nate was in.  I did what any concerned yet rational mother would who finds her 3 year old on the top of a 6 foot ladder, alone... I bolted from the car, cursed Daddy, ran straight to the house to get the camera so I could capture it. Then pulled Fish down kicking and screaming. Really, what will I find at age 5?!??!?!

Fisher helping Daddy hang the Christmas lights.

Telling Daddy how to do it!

The Ranch getting did-up for our first Christmas!

Later that weekend.

Fisher with Isela.
He was so proud to hold her by himself. He took the job very seriously. It was so cute!

She's trying to play it cool, but getting a little nervous.

The boys peeling potatoes: Just never happens so I had to take a picture!

 And the best for last!
Finally Fisher has mastered his "Cool Trick, cool trick!"
By Daddy.
Check it out - so, for those of you not familiar with "Yo, Gabba-Gabba!' they have a segment called Cool Tricks. Since Fisher first saw it two years ago he has been enamored with this little chubby kid who does the spoon on the nose thing. Fisher thinks it is the funniest thing on the show and cracks up every time he sees it. I can imagine Fisher planning, plotting and practicing when we are not looking. Seriously just waiting for the perfect time to show it off. Then one day out of the blue he comes around the corner with the spoon stuck to his face. The rest of the night he perfected his spoon trick and had M and I rolling with laughter. By perfected I mean he was walking around, talking and carrying on his usual nightly routine. All the while he has this gigantic spoon at the end of his nose. You really have to see it in person. As you can see from the little footage we were able to capture he takes it VERY serious.

Video:

Oh yeah, chonies with dinner all over his face and shirt! Pay no attention, that's just how he rolls at night.

That's my boy!
