Christmas
Noel
2011
Abbi got to open one gift before she set off on Travel. So we made it a good one!
iPod touch, which years from now we all laugh that I actually put that in here because it will be so archaic! Like, Atari or... Nintendo! Hey, what's that?
Fisher bonds with his cookie before...
... off with it's head!!
Yum.
Baking cookies with Anew and cousin Brixton.
Check out Anew's antlers.
The boys were very meticulous with the placement of their sprinkles.
The boys could not wait for them to bake, so they pulled up chairs to watch.
Sneaky Fish tried to open a gift when no one was looking.
Busted. So he acted silly as a cover up!
Monster face!
Before PJ's. I swear to you he is not peeing on the tree- despite his animal- like tendencies.
Sweet cheeks.
Christmas Eve
Cousins (the older ones).
Getting pretty tired.
I don't know either, Brixton.
If ever a classic Fish. This is it. This is a tired wound-up animal Fisher who loves playing drums- hard!
The kids tracked down Santa. He was in South America at that moment- if my memory serves me.
Cookies for Santa (including the ones made with Anew). Fisher thought the Reindeer would like fruit with their carrots, not oats.
Fisher's note to Santa.
Christmas!
So, ironically and unplanned (true) Fisher left a small toy dinosaur of his for Santa, he thought Santa would want to a toy of his own- since he gives them all away. He placed it next to the plate of cookies. Magically, when Fisher woke up Christmas morning, Santa must have taken that little dino and left Fisher with a HUGE one in exchange. From a parent perspective; it could not have worked out any better! Oh - we sooo rock!
Who would have thought- opening gifts and got a boo-boo on his hand- darn papercuts. Halt! Band-aid stat! Nuk stat!.. And a pout before continuing.
The official 2011 Christmas morning picture.
Here is one of the bloopers getting to this picture- possibly more classic. Very much Fisher. Check out his face.
Gotta love self timer. I am not sure what is more classic- the 25 pictures that are hysterically nuts. Or that Momma and Daddy had matching PJ's- holla! Daddy's were straight up footie's. All was good, until the neighbors caught us taking out the trash. We are still being teased! Abbi says she is very glad she wasn't here and wanted to know who saw us, exactly. One of the few perks of having a teenager I am now learning is that you can embarrass them!
Santa and Mrs. Claus (Poppi Tops & Anew) came by to deliver Fisher his gifts!
Wow! A super awesome firehouse!
Your turn Poppi Tops and Anew!
Back to Fisher...And a play kitchen!
I'd say Fisher was pretty happy about his gift!
After breakfast Fisher made Daddy get to work building his Firehouse.
Christmas evening at Cannington.
Cousins.
Oh, they look like angels.
They don't look sleepy at all. Tired angels.
Nana!
After even more gifts and yummy dinner we all went for a walk to look at the Christmas lights. A perfect ending to a long, but wonderful Christmas!
Fisher- ever the gentleman! Crossed legs.
Look over there, Anew!
Christmas II
Abbi comes home! Yippee! It never feels right not having Boo here on Christmas morning. In our family shot we put Abbi's scarf around the dino- but not the same.
Fisher missed his big sister very much!
Abbi gives Fish his gift.
Fisher trying to open Abbi's gifts. Naughty.
These are some of my favorite pictures ever- a treasure. Due to the age difference it is rare to catch a moment between the two siblings so sweet (although they do exist don't get me wrong). As I said Fisher missed Abbi very much, so he was on her lap for a while as they looked at the tree ornaments.
I also noticed in these pictures the similarity of features. So cute! Just super neat to see the two children not look so drastically off balance in size and maturity (the negative of 12 yrs between them)... maybe that's it.
Lots of hugs.
Post Christmas
A day at the Zoo with Anew!
Ummm- even matching hats- too cute.
Just another 75 degree December day in San Diego!
Mommy and Fish went to visit Susie.
Fisher missed her and his friends very much.
Fisher hugging his pal, Max.
Watching Max leave. Parting is such sweet sorrow.
Fisher really wishes he had a sibling his size. For a month Dino did everything with him, Ate at the table with him. Sleep with him. Even went to pre-school with him, one day. Best gift ever!
Trying to sneak the left-overs.
